I don't see him bucking the senior Democratic leadership at all.

I wouldn't expect that of someone who came up through the party ranks as a community organizer.

I wouldn't expect that of someone who was given the keynote speech in the previous election.

I wouldn't expect that of someone who relied on the Kennedy machine to outduel the previous White House.

I think he has a lot of debts to repay to those who made it possible to put him in this position by mentoring him, by thrusting him into the lime light far sooner than his portfolio would indicate, and by helping him defeat the Clinton machine.
