And oh how I wish you could tell that to my long gone conservative ancestors who fought in most of the wars going back to the struggle for America's Independence.

They'd shake their heads in disbelief.

I think Democrats have long been the party of the working man--informed, or not--intellectuals--informed, or not--and people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds--informed, or not--who know the meaning of struggle.
