Agreed. Glad we can agree on that. Now what about the discrimination that occurred towards credit worthy home buyers who didn't get involved in those sub-prime loans, yet had to pay a higher than historical price because that artificial demand limited supply and increased prices? This government backed "affimative action" program for home buyers certainly benefitted those who already owned homes, but for new home-buyers, it put a terrific crunch on them. This was not a proposal submitted by Republicans. It was advanced by democrats, who sought to use the legislative process to increase their voter base. However, admittedly many Republicans were not aggressive enough in opposing it because they realized it was political suicide to do so. I can't convince you to change your mind as to whom you will vote for, but when you pull that lever, ask yourself who is more responsible for the situation we're in and why illegal immigration was tolerated, as well as subsidized. And then think about what Obama is proposing for illegal immigrants.. Blanket amnesty, driver's licenses, voting rights.. etc.. immigrantvoting.org immigrantvoting.org righttruth.typepad.com Is that what you want?.. To encourage illegal immigration even further by bestowing upon them the same political and entitlement rights as American citizens? Do I get those kind of rights if I immigrate to their country?
