What you are seeing is an emotional overflowing, because of the extreme disgust we are all feeling as Americans right now. Many, many people feel like Bush has lead us so far down the wrong path, Obama has become like a breath of fresh air.

I do understand how you feel, though. Most Americans don't like cult of personalities in our government, because that smacks of 3rd world dictators like Chavez, Kim Jong Il, and Communist leadership as in Russia. So we don't like to see it here. I don't either, even with Obama.

I think people need to get a grip and realize that Obama is just a man. He's a very intelligent and accomplished man, and is the right person at the right time for our country, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't watch him like a hawk and make sure he does his job, but doesn't get too power hungry. If he does like Bush did and arrogates more power to himself, then I'll be the first to vote against him in 2012.

The first thing I want Obama to do is lead the charge against the FISA bill, which Bush proposed and Obama among others voted for. That plus the rewrite of the FBI spy policies represent the single, most successful assault on our constitutional freedoms in the history of the US. Maybe he will come to his senses, think about the constitution and do something to reverse that. I think it was Ben Franklin or one of our other famous founding fathers who said that he who would trade freedom for security deserves neither.
