As an example Lehman collapse inflicted over $300 billion in loses overseas (according to the printed media)most of the affected where those elderly and savers to whom "structured products" where sold as a solid saving instrument. Financial institutions also lost a bundle on Lehman collapse

This is $300 billion 3 times more than the war in Iraq cost the US and only form one US Investment Bank and only to overseas investors.

AIG to date lost over $125 billions paid of by taxpayer money

GS sold and distributed paper which lost over $200 billions to date

and the list goes on.... but managers received unheard of compensations
