One definitely gets the impression that a few more shoes are going to drop. To cite a personal example, I was in Singapore a couple days ago and spoke with the head of a high-end retail outlet there. He told me that sales dropped off the cliff in the last ten days - a 90% reduction. They've never seen anything like this before, even during the Asian financial crisis in the 90s. "Unprecedented" was his word. If things don't unfreeze soon he'll be in trouble.

You hear the word "unprecedented" a lot. It's the word of the year.
