Quit using the term "liberals". Those old-style liberals have passed the torch. We progressives are pragmatic, honest, forward looking, thrifty and tough. And as we saw in the last 8 years, the new neo-cons are the least thrifty and honest we have ever had. McCain is not much different because he still to this day doesn't want to change anything in the Bush tax plan which rewards only the top 1% and no one else. GHW Bush was right about it when he ran against Reagan. It was trickle down voodoo economics and combined with deregulation ends up in a big busted economy and trillions in debt.
