You forgot the worst aspect, it can compel people to buy insurance against their will in their attempts to provide these lofty goals you think are so damned important. I can think of one large population group to get screwed in this scenario: men under 30. Most don't need health insurance. They are going to just have to get it under a socialist health care plan.
