I can think of one large population group to get screwed in this scenario: men under 30. Most don't need health insurance. They are going to just have to get it under a socialist health care plan.

1) One day, with some luck, they will be over 30 -- even you if you're in that group. And, then over 40 and so on.

2) The whole point to insurance is to have a huge pool and spread the risk.
