The Union of Concerned Scientists and Center for Science in the Public Interest aren't scientists - they're leftwing hacks. CSPI is part of Nader's network of organizations. UCS was founded as an anti-nuclear weapons group during the cold war. Don't know much about PEER - looks like a green drive movement. You've got a bunch of people there who will make charges for essentially political reasons.
