Threader, I may be dense but IMO for the semiconductor manufactures (intl, mot, txn, etc) to become increasely profitable it seems like they must convert to the 300 (12") wafer and reduce the size of the semi's to 0.25 and smaller. Therefore, it appears that for the semi's to become more profitable they must first purchase the equipment from the equipment makers. The result would be improved booking for semi equip. Is my logic incorrect? Didn't we read that AMAT CEO Morgan make a similar statement--in that AMAT and Intl are on a different cycle and/or timeline. Big Buck, Ricardo, Kumar can you shed some light on this conclusion?
