Oh yeah!

Good news this morning, we got our insurance money. I sent it UPS overnight to the mortgage company with all but 1 of the papers they wanted, the waiver of lien from the contractor. He's promised to have it signed and to me this evening so I can fax it over in the morning. I told the mortgage company I've been paying from my pocket to protect "our investment". They said once they get all the paper work together, they will issue a third of the money and for us to call and get an inspection time set up. I said set it up now because we are a third of the way though. Some one is suppose to call me by Friday to let me know when they can come out. My contractor has a half a dozen jobs on the back burner right now. The mortgage company drags their feet and we're screwed. Our completion date is scheduled for December 29th. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we can be in the house before then but in reality, I'm not holding my breathe.
