Like I said before, I like Barack Obama. I even like Michelle; I think the whole "proud of my country" line of hers was overblown.
What I fear, however, is passing the reins of this nation to bozos like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid.
As for the GOP, they have really screwed up big time. Biggest problem was Ted Stevens and the other GOP congressmen who personified the "culture of corruption." WTF was Bill Frist doing all these years if not enforcing party discipline?
Then there was the screwup in Iraq. Fortunately, Iraq is a lot better now than two years ago, but that's about two years longer (and several thousand American lives more) than it should have taken. And that's assuming going into Iraq was even worth it in the first place. With an infinite number of uncertainties in the Middle East alone, much less here at home, the gamble in Iraq probably wasn't worth it.
Based on all of this, the GOP should indeed take the fall. Maybe Obama will have the wisdom to not allow the Dems to screw up big time, but with the way Washington was, is, and will continue to be, I doubt it.
