An insight in Pater Tenebrarum's blog resonated with me: Gold miners are so beat up that they are going for less than the value of their cash in the bank while, at the same time, the energy cost of getting the gold out is declining precipitously.

Gee, isn't that as obvious as can be? Of course! Only about 3 data points to look at.

Sure, but it takes someone like PT to make the connections.

I engaged in an interesting exercise this weekend, a fake trial with numerous fake juries. I was hypothetically prosecuting it. My sole documentary evidence were two photos, one of what happened and the other of what should have happened. Guess who 'won' and in a huge $ million plus way?

The value of keeping it simple and going with the obvious, like PB does in that blog note, is a beautiful thing.

We need to remain childlike, see the world in its simplest form.
