Pat: This is my take on BC at 10:58PM. Alcatel will be included in the BC contract. The next phase will include Westell's 2.2Mbps FlexCap2 modems. How involved will Alcatel and Amati be in this phase is still a question. Eventually the Westell/Amati DMT line cards can be placed into the existing open slots in the Westell/Amati DSLAM unit. Start with the CAP based line cards, which can run at 2.2Mbps. The Westell/Amati and Alcatel DSLAM units will both support an Alcatel/Amati/Westell interoperable solution in the future... then it's mass deployment time.... until later.
