Troy Shaw,
I assume you are well meaning and do not intend to deceive. There does not seem to be any rational reason for you to be deceitful - unless you are also trying to deceive yourself for some bizarre reason. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I will attribute this as a failure on my part to communicate to you.
>>> None of these products were KE's own doing, he had plenty of input. But, in the end KE pulled the trigger.<<<
There is a big difference between KE pulling the trigger on something (the Zip and Jaz Drive) that was conceived by someone else and KE pulling the trigger on something that he is totally responsible for himself (as in N.Hand).
Kim Edwards deserves a lot of credit for what he has accomplished. True Iomegans can recite chapter and verse his many contributions to Iomega success. However, Kim Ediward did not start up Iomega or did he (IMO) conceive the Zip and Jaz Drives. He took up from where his predecessors left off and made it extremely successful. To be fair, he has to share some of this success with those that came before him.
However, any new products that he comes up with now, such as N.hand, RecordIt, and Buz would be his sole responsbility for which he should get all the credit. It is his ability to envision new products and bring them to market that will distinguish Iomega from being a one or two trick pony and those of a truly innovative and creative company that will create greater new wealth for its shareholders. For this, I believe the jury is still out.
