Chickened out on that currency switch, loonie was still selling off, usd not finished with run maybe ... then on the radio came news of some Royal Bank analyst who was telling people to get out of loonies into usd, convinced that this will be deep and long, well i dunno about that, think there is no good fundamental reason for the usd ramp and when what is basically a short squeeze is over it'll resume the downtrend ... might be good to be careful in the meantime though, hard to say where it ends, they do tend to overshoot ... .75/1.33 is only a couple cents away, at .70/1.43 i'll definitely jump for at least some

goz.v - bought a little Gold-Ore, healthy discount from where i added a few days ago, oh joy ... has to be a bottom in here somewhere, likely this week imho ... Hang Seng up six per cent right now, Nikkei over three, some of that bailout cash should now be getting divvied up among the uptown jerkoffs, rate cut on the way [though that may be baked in already]

lgo.v - are you following Largo at all ... i've got back the share number i had this spring, started too early and paid too much but still it was a lot cheaper than my entry this spring, never mind exit, lol ... hard not to be somewhat attached when they treat you that well, but also they should be able to scrape up the five millions, big dilution in some form going to another Bharti entity of course, still there's a lot of economics in Maracas, they'll be able and motivated to run it again

Interesting discussion of yen between gregor.us and Wyatt here, goes back many posts, talk about overshooting, they're thinking jpy/usd of 25, radical but imagine how cheap to the japanese that would make PMs - Message 25113725
