10. A body blow to racial identity politics.
An end to the era of Jesse Jackson in black America.

To the extent people vote for him because he's black that IS racial idenity politics. Still I think there is something to this point. If Obama become president it might become a bit harder for the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharpton's of the world to play their game.

9. Less debt.

That's questionable, as is the idea that he will only raise taxes on those who earn over a quarter million. For example apparently he's going to raise FICA taxes on people who earn less then $250k. Also see

8. A return to realism and prudence in foreign policy.

That's questionable as well. Also hard to define. Different people see different things are realistic or prudent. If you mean a return to a less aggressive foreign policy, well maybe, but than some of Obama's statements about Pakistan don't seem to support their idea.

An ability to understand the difference between listening to generals and delegating foreign policy to them.

He might have that ability, but that isn't something limited to Obama, or that you would have to vote for Obama to get.

Temperament.

At least exaggerated, but arguably a possible benefit.

a critical bridge between the new atheism and the new Christianism.

I don't see any real world meaning in that statement. Obama is unlikely to serve as any such "crtical bridge", to the extent that one is needed.

4. A truce in the culture war.

Unlikely. He will just have a different take on, and on at least some issues take a different side on, the culture war.

3. Two words: President Palin.

Would would be much preferable to president Obama, or president Biden

2. Conservative reform.

Not something your going to get from Obama. Instead you will get even bigger spending, more extensive expansion of the regulatory state, and his own brand of arrogance.

1. The War Against Islamist terror.

No reason to think that Obama will be particulary good in this area.

The strategy deployed by Bush and Cheney has failed

No it hasn't.

It has failed to destroy al Qaeda,

By that measure, anyone's policy would have failed.

except in a country, Iraq, where their presence was minimal before the US invasion.

And that destruction in Iraq was a real success (although it isn't total destruction, just very extensive reduction in Al Qaeda's influence and ability).
