Dennis,

Have any theories on the best way to play CTL? Seems like the world is full of remote, 'stranded' coal deposits. So I'm not sure the resource owning companies are the best bet.

On the other hand, seems like nobody has a lock on gassification or gas to liquids technology, so it's hard to pick a sure winner there.

I really like the UCG concept. But again, this looks like a field where once the pioneering companies show that it can be done, nothing is preventing other companies from copying.

Really frustrating. I am convinced that CTL is going to be a huge industry in the future, but hard to see a clear investment strategy. Maybe the simplest approach is just to buy the companies with coal resources, as these will certainly become more valuable as CTL grows.
