T-Systems Selects XO To Expand U.S. Presence
10/29/2008
T-Systems has tapped XO Communications, a subsidiary of a subsidiary of XO Holdings, Inc. (XOHO), to help it expand in Atlanta, Boston, Columbus, Denver, Houston and Seattle.
“The expansion in these six key U.S. markets is a part of our strategy to expand our leadership position as a global business-to-business provider of telecommunications and information technology services to deliver converged network-centric information and communications technology,” said Heike Auerbach, CEO, T-Systems of North America.
“The ability to bring access services into XO points of presence helps us reach our customer locations more cost effectively and efficiently,” added Matt Plessing, head of Telecom Operations at T-Systems North America.
In addition to the footprint T-Systems gets through the XO deal, Deutsche Telekom’s enterprise customer unit has an MPLS-based network spanning 50 countries as well as more than 70 global data centers for its B-to-B customers.
