I don't think there is anything wrong with checking out character references. But when folks on this thread continually post the same things over and over, especially when it's clear they haven't even bothered to double check with factcheck.org or snopes.com or any reference that debunks these things, then to me it is a smear.

Almost all of the smears I've seen on this thread, I have been able to quickly debunk searching around on google or going to a factcheck website. Most people can do the same, which is why most people have stopped paying attention to the GOP smear game. It's become irrelevant.

It's all very similar to the boy who cried wolf. No one trusts the GOP anymore. Can you blame them?
