the thing is tonto, us democrats never heard much concern about "party unity" in 2005 when the republicans were blasting through all their pork programs and refusing to let ANY Dem initiative come up on the floor of congress. Republicans were the biggest bullies in US politics, ever. Now that the tide has turned, people like Peggy Noonan and other right pundits are so terribly concerned with this divisism and how it is tearing up the country. Right wing posters on other threads like Jim McMannis now feel that unity/cooperation between the parties is the number one issue in politics today. Uhh huh sure. Oh boo hoo.
