The government is not a mugger. The mugger is not giving you anything in return. That is simply hyperbole.

Giving money to the mugger is still not involuntary although it is probably a good idea to comply unless you have the means to beat up said mugger.

So, leaving society will impoverish you? Therefore, you admit that being in society enriches you. Now you are simply refusing to pay for what you receive. That makes YOU the mugger.

Just as I thought. You can't support your arguments although you are dang sure you are absolutely correct. It is simply YOUR OPINION that all we need is maintenance of order and minimal infrastructure. It is also simply YOUR OPINION as to what constitutes maintenance of order and minimal infrastructure.

Are sidewalks necessary? Are storm drains necessary? Is the weather service necessary? Are national parks and monuments necessary? Is the FDA, SEC, FCC necessary? What is necessary and what is not? That is simply opinion.

Sometimes government can do things better than the private sector. Right now, that is the bailing out of the financial system. Try getting the private sector to do that.

What should be public and what should be private isn't a cut and dry thing unless you are being rigidly ideological. Who knew a year ago that the largest insurance company in the world would be 80% nationalized? Who knew that GM actually floated (maybe still is) the idea that the Treasury purchase a big chunk of the company? Who knew?

I have no problem with decriminalizing drugs for personal use. I have no problem getting the profit out of the prison industry which is intimately related to drugs. The TSA is apparently mostly for show. I have no problem stopping the giveaways to big industry. For that matter, I have no problem stopping the occupation of Iraq.

OK, so you are ok with the bail out of AIG and the future funding of Medicare? Your only problem with Medicare and SS is the amount of money they cost in relationship with GDP?

Note that SS is a self-funding insurance program. I'm sure you know that. It needs to stop being a regressive program which means removing the income cap on contributions. That will keep it self-funding as far as anyone can see.
