The theory that cutting taxes will spur enough economic growth to actually increase tax revenues has been proven false. You have to look no further than the correlation of budget deficits to tax cutting eras to see that it is false. It makes for good Republican spin, though.

Look. This is why many moderate Republicans and fiscal conservatives have abandoned the Republican Party. We aren't buying the bullshit anymore. If you want to close the deficits, then we need to increase taxes or cut spending. Cutting taxes is bullshit. We can't afford it. This fiscal irresponsibility is destroying our country.
