Numonyx is now openly admitting that they have no "Universal Memory" and/or "Holy Grail" storage solution:

It might be worth a laugh or two if the country wasn't having such a tough time deciding whether Cretin Conservatism will continue to rule the roost.

At this point I'd have to bet that our peculiar brand of Cretinism will not only survive, but actually prosper in the "new" Age of Obama-to-Be. While I doubt it could survive yet another naval aviator at the controls for an extended period; the opportunity to sit on the sidelines... lobbing excrement and wallowing in paranoia... will likely prove to be just what the doctor ordered. Initially anyway...

Long term... things aren't as clear. There are still far too many loose ends remaining in the case of the Great Math-0-Magician and MoMo Conspiracy. We don't even know the full extent of the crime yet; and I can't tell whether we will really get "trials"... or only "tribulations." To this point the approach of Obama and the Democrats seems to be one of forgive and forget... compromise and accommodation... rather than retribution and prosecution.

Perhaps we'll get some further clues when Bushwarus is forced to hold the economic summit at the White House mid-November. Then too there'll be the inauguration speech and the choice of an Attorney General. The "tone" should be set by then. But until we know where all the loose ends actually lead and how bad the tribulations really are... I don't think we'll know how many, if any, heads will roll.

In any case... my pessimist's view of history suggests that both the Cretin and the Math-0-Magician creeds will... sadly... live long and prosper. I mean that is... until The BIG Rock decides to give the dinosaurs another shot at it.
