Incidentally I think the last 8 years have proved as a practical experiment that cutting taxes, especially those taxes paid by the richest, does not improve the wealth of the majority (~85-90%), and still less does it allow/help the poorest to gain: nor does the state get more money overall as a result of faster growth growing the tax base.
