Tim; Restrict the growth of (which doesn't mean cut) just about every very large program. (Not interest on debt, Yup, can't cut interest which is why I put it in. The interest we will need to pay has rocketed up because of the debt accumulated under Bush. Soooo, this is an increase, attributable to Bush that will have to be paid by the next administration. Restricting the growth of programs just as we enter a recession will make the recession worse - and accordingly return less in taxes yet. We should have restricted during the boom years when republican had control of the WH and Congress. Now we're screwed. I agree with you basicly, but timing is everything. steve
