The war is government spending for a purpose (whether or not the purpose is a good one doesn't effect that point), funds are used up in order to try to achieve that purpose. It isn't a transfer to anyone.

Pork programs in many cases are not transfers, and also often don't go exclusively to the rich. For example building a road with federal money, isn't a transfer program, and pays a lot of construction crews.

I know that is your basic premise that allows you to claim that the 5 trillion dollars spent by Bush admin did not go to the rich.

But your POV has been pretty much rejected by the public. You can believe what you want, of course. There is just too much money gone here, and too many NO BID CONTRACTS, private military companies and consultants to them raking in 300K/year, and other handouts to well connected people.

If Bush had run a tight, short, cost efficient war you wouldn't be hearing these arguments but anybody who puts together a plan with a bunch of NO BID CONTRACTS pretty much robs the hood, the people know it.

Medicare drug plan- a trillion dolllars- who gets that money? the recipients of the plan? LOL! They have to pay more in COPAYMENTS for the same drugs they could get in another country for cheaper, thanks to republican "negotiation skills"
