Lindy, I took your advice and had a CT heart scan this week. To my surprise and delight all my scores were zero.

I used the TYP site and found the closest Center was in Columbia SC. They request you be there at 8:00 am in order to do a small amount of paperwork and see a Nurse Practitioner. If you come later then you need some sort of note from your doctor. The Nurse Practitioner took about three minutes to go over the papers you filled out and explain what a CT Scan does and how it is carried out.

The cost was $125.

The scan itself took maybe two minutes. No needles and you don't even have to remove your shirt. The only thing you have to do is hold your breath when the recording prompts you. Afterwards they have the results in about ten minutes and they spend some time explaining to you your score. You are given a folder with four pages, including picture of the scan, with all the information and numbers. Everyone was friendly and professional.

For the last few months I have been wondering about my score. I guess curiosity got the better of me.
