People (analysts) keep repeating to themselves and publicly the Micron line that their balance sheet is one of the best in the sector and that they are "well positioned" for when the sector turns.

Personally, I think Micron is full of hot air, but they did just cancel one of their planned fabs (in Singapore), they are shuttering their Boise fab, and they have pushed out expansion at another fab. So their capex for next year will be sharply diminished, even though they will have some severance fees.

As has been mentioned on this thread before, SPSN will have to tighten their expenses and at least get close to positive cash flow in order to survive this semi tsunami.

Key question that no one can answer right now: How long will it last? I don't have a clue, since it depends on factors beyond any one country or sector's ultimate control.
