Sonki,

Thanks for your info about LLY and PFE. A short question: will
PFE's pending FDA's approval of a new drug affect the future
of VVUS?

TI's 12-month target price is 185 and 200
by two different brokerage companies (forget the names).
In addition, it's one of Erika's favorite stocks.
TI's DSP business is very strong (30%-40% annual growth), and
is 40% of TI's revenue. However, DRAM business keeps
under price pressure, though it's a joint venture
with Acer. A good indicator on how good TXN's Q4's
earning will be is the NSM's earning report in Dec
(remember to keep an eye on NSM.) NSM and TXN both
manufacture chips for telecommunication . IMHO, TXN will be
back to its 52-week high when it splits in Nov.

AMAT will be stagnant for a little while. IMHO,
it will have some wild action (big-up or big-down) at the end
of October or early Nov., since
the October's SEMI book-to-bill ratio may leak at
that time.
CYMI is going to give earnings report on Thursday, and maybe
it will give a boost to the semi-equipment sector.

MSFT's earnings replay: 1-800-456-5304 (code 1017).
Compared to the previous conference call, MSFT gave a very good
future earning guidance. CA gave a very good report today. This
should continue to give a boost to software sector tomorrow,
especially to BMCS, and maybe ORCL.

I bought SUNW's common shares at 45 based on their strong
forcast in July. I think their server business is under
big pressure from INTC, MSFT, CPQ & HWP. Their profit margin
may be down because of price pressure from Windows NT servers.
Please see Brian's post in MSFT's thread. You are very judicious
to buy @36 and then sell @40.
