Right. It's not as if the President is in some kind of leadership position. Not this President at this time, anyway.

If you just want to use the numbers, and ignore the fact that the President and Secretary of State came up with the plan and pushed it, then you can go ahead and blame the Democrats for the socialization of the banks.

But if we're discussing the socialization of the banking industry, remember that the plan to capitalize the banks by buying partial interest in them was proposed only after the bailout bill had already been approved by Congress.
