My response was neither an attack nor a personal repudiation. You should check back to the posts made on this thread during January. Docucon was the target of a rumor, completely unfounded, that it was involved in the year 2000 resolution business. The stock nearly doubled the day following the posting (before crashing back) and numerous cerebrally-challenged poofters posted on this thread perpetuating the lie. A looking-glass mentality formed around DOCU's new business venture. A 'Docucon - the next y2K phenom (sic)' thread was created (and subsequently removed) during this time.

You will notice that a certain Peter Dale played a non-insignificant role in crashing the party. I was stunned that a posting made deep within an SI thread could have such a powerful effect on the stock. I was also convinced that the effect on investors confidence in Docucon could be significant, long term, and devastating.

This is the background for the candor of my response to your post. Your familiarity with the award process suggests you could be quite helpful to the thread in evaluating Docucon's prospects:

1. Can you provide any solid info on why you believe DOCU is the front runner (besides incumbency)?

2. Who else is in the running? What are their qualifications?

3. Is DOCU's technology and processing capability distinctly better than their competitors?

4. What did the Seybold folks tell you about DOCU?

5. Can you envision reasoning where DOCU would not get the contract?

Bruce Theirs believes the conversion business is a trivial component of Docucon's bottom line. Your comments leave the impression this may not be the case.

What sort of money are talking here?

Would the contract be guaranteed for 5 years or contingent upon annual review?

Does this sort of award generally lead to similar contracts with other federal agencies?

Does such a contract generally elevate the profile of the recipient company in the private sector (i.e. snowball effect)?

TIA

Best wishes,
Peter
