Every time I see him or hear him I can easily understand why Larry Summers dumped him at Harvard. He was on Tavis Smiley's PBS show the night of Obama's acceptance speech and he was not too pleased with it even though most other people were. He actually said that he was upset because Obama had not mentioned "black supremacy". I swear, I heard him say it. Tavis, who is imo a very smart, savvy guy (but seems to share your view of West's "intellect") actually was dumbfounded and could not in my view believe West could say anything so stupid. Maybe it is not too apparent but that guy irritates me no end. There, I feel better.
