If you analyze the numbers for the past 5 days of polling at this site: zogby.com, you will notice that McCain is progressively losing support (something like 0.1%) every day. And suddenly yesterday the Obama loses 1% and McCain gains that thereby narrowing the gap by 2%. That could be the outlier.

At this site realclearpolitics.com the numbers are the same for today.

This gives the McCain campaign something to talk about. However, this does not impact the numbers in VA, NH, CO and NV which I believe will put Obama over the top if he can hold onto all Blue states including PA.
