The trick-or-treaters all came here I guess. I probably had 150 +/- decked out, really cute kids come trick or treating and actually ran out of candy before I ran out of kids!

Have to say that it was such a refreshing change to see faces other than the pesty, constant flow of canvassers ringing the doorbell these days.

<rant> For some reason, the neighboring New England states have been sending constant streams of their people to NH seeking to enlighten us with their divine voting guidance. And this year has been worse than any other. I'm not sure what it is - but they (on both sides of the aisle) don't seem to get that this is NH, not Mongolia. Most of us are well-educated, well-informed and perfectly capable of making up our own minds. We actually own tvs and have access to the same publications and internet that they do. And oooohhhh, strangely enough .. sometimes we even engage in intelligent political debate with our friends, families and watering hole compatriots!

I can't thank these unwelcome, uninvited, (mostly) out-of-state intruders enough <tongue firmly implanted in cheek> for being so persistent, relentless and annoying that I finally had to shut the ringer off on the phone and stop answering the doorbell altogether this week. At this point, I can't WAIT until Nov 5th - no matter what the outcome is. The neighboring state refugees have already watered down our "independent" status, and threaten to turn the state blue. Isn't that enough for us to have to stomach?</rant>

Pray tell .. is it this bad for everyone else out there??
