Excellent Software Products Microsoft Windows 3.11is a well-known product which I consider to be excellent. Obviously that excludes COM which is the very antithesis of excellence in software design. For a desktop operating system to run day-to-day business applications on single desktop or within a small workgroup, 3.11 was a solid performer for a DOS-based operating system.
