Why won't Obama simply produce his birth certificate? Perhaps because he shouldn't have to. There's a huge insult in demanding it and no corresponding legitimate rationale. It's like answering the question, "are you a pedophile." Your reaction is "what in the world would make you think I'm a pedophile?" You don't answer questions like that. People should not have to answer demeaning questions. You award unwarranted respect to the questioner when you cater to it.
