That's just not correct.
It It is acceptable for passports and meets any legal requirement.

I have the same type of document from my birth and have used it for passports and any other time that particular requirement was needed.

Hawaii has a long form that is filled out at the hospital, and a shorter form that is filed out for the official file. The important information is that the short form reports his place of birth and his parents' names. He is an American. Other than that, what would you need to know?

But if that's your idea of a real issue, after Ed laid out an entire platform for you, it's disappointing. This is just National Enquirer stuff, given way more than its due.
