Latest Senate projection from 538.com: 8 D pickups. Breakdown:
tilts D--MN
Leans D--NC
Likely D--OR
Safe D--NH, AK, CO, VA, MT, NM

I don't think the Democratic caucus can afford to simply thumb their nose at Leiberman with "only" 58 or 59 Ds, although they may strip him of his chairmanship. I don't know what he will do after that--he really is a Democrat except when it comes to issues like Iraq and Iran, and I don't see him going back on his convictions on domestic issues. If he does, this would be his last term in the Senate.

It would be really really nice to get rid of Chambliss and/or McConnell. I find both of them really irritating, and they love to be talking heads.
