Another important point - if there is an Obama victory map and it has fingers reaching well down into the south and the west, the notion that there is a contiguous "red America" may go by the wayside too. Well, let me stick with my glass half empty posture for the moment. This may well be more of a intra-state issue--rural against urban, white and black workers against other sectors, who knows. But this stuff may not be amenable to electoral maps. More movement based stuff than electoral politics.
