GM sales down 45% in October.

General Motors said U.S. car and light truck sales dropped 45% in October from a year earlier, and said it is moving up its year-end sales promotion. Ford Motor reported a 30% drop in U.S. vehicle sales for October, while Toyota's fell 23%. Adjusted for population growth, "this is probably the worst industry sales month in the post-WWII era," said GM North America executive Mark LaNeve.
