g'day Crossy & all - unless ECI is down right horrendous, I don't think so either (re: rate hike.) Also, a hike with all the SE Asian currencies falling could only cause more problems than it could solve. Uncle Al can only look at the Hong Kong mkt to see what it might be! While people think Alan Greenspan's hawkish stand on inflation, personally I think he is equally waried of his legacy in the stk mkt. Personally, I think he is not about to see 2 mkt crasshes in his watch as Fed chief, especially when this may very well be his last term, after which he may go emeritous rgds Bosco
