Time to get out and vote folks! I'm going to go just after 1pm to see if I can catch some smaller lines. Where I live (Madison) will probably be in the 75-85% Obama range. Milwaukee county is also very heavily democrat for different reasons. In the case of Madison we're heavily influenced by our University, the students and State Government. Milwaukee is heavily unionized (although less than what it used to be) so these two areas of the state generally go Democrat. Since they also represent a good percentage of our state's population (I would guess Milwaukee & Surrounding area as well as Madison and Surrounding area make up about 40% of the population). Our state has about 4 million residents (almost as many deer LOL) so that would mean the 2 areas (including surrounding communities) represent about 1.6 million of the total population and I think that number is fairly close. Many times (but not always) the rest of the state is Republican. The Fox river valley which runs from Oshkosh to Vatican North (Green Bay) is our 3rd biggest population base and that usually is a Republican zone. There's quite a bit of big, old money in that area from the logging and paper industries. If you're a Republican and can overlook the politics of the city Madison is a beatiful place in the summer.
