Ancor has absolutely no intention of becoming a player in the adapter OEM market. Their main focus in selling adapters is for the networking market. The Ancor adapters are strictly high end with special bells and whistles. The Storage OEM market will become dominated and commoditized by players like Emulex, Q Logic, Adaptec, etc...

Emulex appears to be the winner in the adapter stakes. For example in Japan, they have distribution agreements with both Tokyo Electronics ( TEL ) and Hucom to compete for OEM business in Japan. Therefore, the Customer will choose between TEL ( Brocade/EMLX ) or Hucom ( Ancor/EMLX ). Emulex wins either way.
