Yes, healthcare is the one possible exception to what I said. I know a huge number of Democrats and not a few Republicans as well as a number of companies want to see the US do something about this. Companies can't afford to continue to provide healthcare when their international competitors don't have that burden. I don't know how it will get changed, but I will be surprised if it doesn't change a lot. The majorities in Congress along with the WH just don't come about that often. Even state governments want something to happen with it. There are state governments out there which would be bankrupt if they actually had to account for the healthcare and pension liabilities that they have assumed over the years like most organizations do, and those bills are about to come due over the next 2 decades as Boomers retire and get old and sicker.

Something must be done about it.
