I had a ton of students out today because they had signed up to work the polls. This has been a wonderful way to get young people energized about voting, and our form of government. I'm so glad young people are so excited about this. And this is funny- on Monday one of my lovely seniors (a gorgeous girl who was homecoming queen runner up), wore one of those "No on 8" plastic signs like a cape at school. My students are overwhelmingly against prop 8. More power to them. Bigotry of all kinds seems to be dying with the younger generations.
