Yes. I broke down and sobbed during Obama's speech. I don't do that easily. I am so happy.

This country is a great country, but the radical far-right Republican administration of the past 8 years almost turned it into a banana republic.

I vividly remember 1979, when I still lived in England and Maggie Thatcher was elected for the first time. I was totally elated then, because I'm a centrist. Radical far-left governments had almost destroyed England. Thatcher turned that around and saved the country.

My feelings now are a lot similar, but more so because the health of America is important to the whole world.
