I am very proud that Obama won, - proving that an immigrant and African American can achieve the trust of this nation, even if he is technically born in the US, but receive his basic education overseas.

For all practical purposes he is an immigrant who arrived at an early age to the US - and this also a first.

Unfortunate the excitement of Obama win has unrealistic proportion with unreasonable expectation, which also signals something very troubling in our society and several countries overseas. The lack of substance or practical vision in all speeches of both candidates was astonishing and very telling about the electorate in general.

Still after those wonderful speeches of last night of both candidates it is very important how Obama will choose his team, outline his policies and how he will lead and implement his policies and unite this nation. I only hope that he will not gather GS alumni or other of their ilk around him and let WS and Banking industry chieftains get away “scotch free” of the mess they inflicted on all of us and around the world.

Further I do hope that now, the Obama family will take care of their family members in the US and in Uganda and show us a more human face and assist them financially and aunt Zeituni will not be deported and will be assisted to get her permanent residence and find a decent job that pays a salary she can live on

One of the clear benefits is that Obama put an end to the Clinton manipulation and influence on the Democratic Party and hopefully on US politics.

McCain proved not to be properly organized and thorough in his approach of campaigning without a clear action map. (On a personal level I do admire McCain for his character and deeds as a person ) IMHO that is why he lost to a candidate who had the right rhetoric and professional campaign management

Another troubling situation is the strong split in the electorate to adhere to one party or another based on where they where earning a living which is so obvious in the county maps
