Good morning, all!!
And isn't it a wonderful one!
Last night was amazing. I have never been prouder of my country (oo, I sound like Michelle). Everything that was good and true and powerful about our system was evident last night.
McCain was gracious, Obama inspiring. Seeing all those young faces in his crowd.. well, I know my own son, part of that youth vote, called as soon as O was declared and said, "We aren't apathetic. We just needed something, someone, to believe in."
One of the CNN analysts said about O's speech how it wasn't the usual, I, me, mine; it was about we, us, ours... he made all of us take responsibility for where we're heading.
And I got a lovely thank you note from him this morning, as I am sure you all did. He has lovely manners. |
